If you are like most people, you do most of your shopping online. Ebates will help you save and earn money while shopping online. This Ebates review will go over the pros and cons of shopping through Ebates. There are several other sites just like Ebates, but Ebates is the most well-known.
What is Ebates?
This goes without saying, but you can literally buy anything off the internet. Ebates is a website that allows members to learn cash back by shopping through their website. Ebates partners with some big-name companies like Amazon, Best Buy, Kohl’s Lowes, Groupon, and Walmart. These are just a few of the companies Ebates works with. Ebates is an affiliate with each company on their site. They get a commission for referring you to merchants you shop from. When you purchase something off Ebates, they will split the commission with you. It really is a win-win for all parties involved. Also, did I mention that Ebates is absolutely free to join?
How Does Ebates Work?
First thing you need to do is sign up for an account with Ebates. I suggest using a real email address that you have access to. If you sign up using my link, you instantly receive $10 bonus. You will only get the $10 if you sign up through the link. When you sign up for Ebates consider getting paid threw PayPal. Whenever you make a purchase in Ebates, points will be added to your account. The points normally appear within a day or so.
Get the Most Out of Ebates
Check Ebates for coupons before you checking out. Sometimes they have coupons to the store you are shopping at. You will need to download the Ebates browser extension. Once downloaded, this extension will sit at the top right of your Chrome browser. When you visit an eligible store, a message will appear saying you can receive cash back at this particular store. The extension is great because you do not even need to visit Ebates, it will keep track of your purchases. For the longest time, Ebates only worked with online shopping. That has all changed. You can visit their offline cash back page and link your credit card to Ebates. After you link your credit card, find a store where you want to shop and click link offer. Once you link the offer, you can start earning cash back at brick and mortar stores.
How You Get Paid
The payment process with Ebates is pretty simple. They payout 4 times a year. Some people might be fine, but that is slow by today’s standards. Here is what their payment schedule looks like.
There are different payout options you can chose. You can either have Ebates send you a check or the will deposit into your PayPal account. I personally use PayPal since it is the fastest.
My family and I use Ebates every chance we get. One thing is to not go overboard with Ebates. Just shop how you would normally, and you will earn cash back. You can check out my other recommendations HERE
